Our Fayette County Public Schools are experiencing a crisis of students experiencing homelessness. Our community MUST address this issue on many fronts: these children are our future, and they aren’t responsible for their homelessness.
The Give Kids A Home Campaign is a community wide effort to raise funds in support of the McKinney-Vento Program at the Fayette County Public Schools. The McKinney-Vento staff works tirelessly with each FCPS to support the children who are unhoused in our schools. They work to find their families a safe, stable housing situation for the students. Sometimes that is a hotel room for shelter, sometimes it is rental assistance and sometimes it is a car repair for the parents to have transportation to their work to support their families. FCPS Family Resource Centers work tirelessly with each family to give these students a chance to succeed!
Donations by individuals, faith communities, businesses and organizations will be collected by the 501(c)3 Divine Providence, Inc dba Catholic Action Center. All donations are tax deductible with acknowledgements sent to the donors by the Catholic Action Center staff or through the PayPal portal. The collected funds will be transferred in full to the McKinney-Vento Program for temporary or permanent housing assistance or needs of the McKinney-Vento participants. There are no administrative fees.
